    The Company

    Our client is a leading global broker providing commercial and corporate insurance to small, medium and large sized businesses. They’re looking for an Account Manager/Team Leader to work in their regional Kendal office. The right candidate will manage a small team of 5 Account Managers as part of their TL (Team Leader duty)

    A member of this team has their own clients who are small business clients, tradesman, shops, offices, commercial vehicles, property owners and the like. This team is also responsible for clients new business quotations, renewals, mid term adjustments and general client queries.

    The Role

    • You will be expected to handle all classes and products (principally, Property, Business Interruption, Liability and Motor Fleet) within a diverse commercial client base
    • You will manage all instructions from cradle to grave including new business and renewals as well as all clients queries
    • You will manage all TL duties from 1-2-1 meetings to review, coaching & training, development, performance management, etc


    • Support the management of the client relationship, with a focus on growth (e.g., increasing amount or type of coverage, and/or products and services, for existing accounts) and retention
    • Serve as a key client contact, managing queries, changes in cover and other client requests
    • Risk broking – Producing market presentations including the collation and refinement of data, negotiation and recommendation of appropriate risk programme
    • Manage your personal development, ensuring that mandatory training is completed alongside additional training to support individual growth


    • Previous experience as a Commercial Account Handler
    • Previous experience as a Manager/Team Leader
    • Ideally experience with the Acturis operating platform
    • Resilient, good interpersonal skills, versatile and capable
