Job description

The role of the Financial Adviser including the desired competencies and behaviours as set out below, is to provide clients with
financial guidance and make recommendations on how to best utilize their capital, using the AFS agreed policies, processes and
toolset.
You would report to the Business Development Manager, Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer.

Core Experience / Competencies

  • Strong client skills and service ethos – able to build and maintain relationships of trust across a diverse client base.
  • Report writing – able to produce high quality report writing showing high technical ability whilst adhering to AFS standards,
    policies, regulatory requirements and any other compliance demands.
  • Pier – understands the Pier product and is able to explain confidently and clearly to a client what Pier is, what the benefits and
    risks are and how the solution works.
  • Financial Planning – able to produce high quality financial planning demonstrating strong technical knowledge to ensure the
    best outcome for the client.
  • Quality of reviews – possesses strong KYC and relationship management skills, a good ability to follow processes, achieving
    reviews within 12 month rolling window; has technical knowledge of products and procedures as well as ongoing relevant up-todate knowledge of law and regulation.
  • Team work and conduct – able to work proactively to support your team where relevant, displaying professional conduct,
    personal presentation and attitude.
  • Prioritise and manage workload – has a strong understanding of the need to and is able to prioritise workload while balancing
    client meetings and maintaining strong communication and relationship with clients.

  • Manage assigned client bank as well as take on new clients both through leads provided and own activity
  • Ensure CPD is completed throughout the year and logged on a rolling basis

  • Attend all compliance meetings including 1:1s and discuss any file issues to ensure no repeat flags
  • Responsible for ensuring that client relationships are maintained to a high level and that clients receive high quality service at
    all times, highlighted through client retention
  • Identify opportunities for new business
  • Attend all training and PDMs in person (unless line manager pre-approval)
  • Liaise with Compliance and Support teams promptly and efficiently, as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Complete and update client files on the occasion of each client contact and in line with AFS process
  • Follow all Antrams internal processes to include but not limited to compliance/support/service schedule and charges/ CIP & CRP
  • Ensure clients are receiving the most current advice by using our CIP / CRP and moving existing clients over where appropriate
  • All client reviews conducted in a timely manner (12 month rolling window) to a standard in line with AFS policy
  • Support our admin teams and Head of Support Services by providing notice before work is due and follow the correct process/
    information provision

Other Duties

  • Complete mandatory/regulatory training to given deadlines
  • Adhere to company policies
  • Maintain a clear desk and ensure all client documentation is locked away securely out of hours
  • Ensure that all confidential paperwork is either scanned to the relevant file and disposed of in the confidential data bins or
    shredded
Salary £35,000 - £50,000

Strong bonus scheme tied into reviews. PMI, DIS and auto enrolment in Pension.
