    Overview

    Description

    To work with junior Financial Planners, ensuring that the new business process and Suitability Report is completed to a standard where the adviser can review and send to client.
    Liaise with the client during the new business process and account opening.
    Responsibilities

    • Apply for Platform accounts, Pensions independently and sometimes more complex arrangements like SSAS and VCTs under Financial Adviser supervision
    • Keep comprehensive diary notes to ensure business recommended is followed through.
    • Keep clients up to date and proactively deal with any issues that can arise when opening accounts and transferring investments etc.
    • Ensure agreed action points get diarised, actioned and completed as per business process
    • Opening post, scanning, distributing and filing
    • Onboarding new clients
    • Submitting information requests to providers
    • Submitting new business cases and seeing through to completion
    • Preparing comparisons and illustrations
    • Preparing information for client meetings, by way of updating data held and gathering paperwork required
    • Preparing for annual reviews
    • Writing simple templated recommendation reports
    • Pulling together compliant files
    • Basic financial administration
    • Using investment platforms
    • Updating and ensuring IO is used to the best advantage of the company

    Knowledge

    • Microsoft Word and Excel. Outlook. Teams.
    • Some system knowledge of Cash Flow Projection Systems and Back Office.
    • We use I4C, Adviser Asset and Intelliflo and can offer training as long as you have generic experience of these types of systems (cash flow skills only relevant for trainee paraplanner)

    Experience and Qualifications

    • At least 2 years’ experience working as a more senior administrator/trainee paraplanner
    • At least 2 years working within a financial planning environment
