    Financial Services

My client is based in North London. A very well established business with huge growth in recent years.

This role is fast paced and has a heavy workload, but the team love it! It offers an in depth and wide experience, which is great for anyone wanting a long term career in Financial Services.

Progression is something this client encourages but has stressed that they are not looking for someone to step in and expect to be a Paraplanner in 6 months. This is more of a learning curve and enables the successful candidate to build a strong foundation of knowledge.

The role of Paraplanner Support role is to work within the Paraplanning Team under the guidance of the allocated Paraplanner Manager to assist the advice process in a compliant and efficient manner, by means of the following duties/tasks. The Paraplanner Support role can vary subject to requirements and although the areas listed below provide a broad indication of the various duties expected of the role, this is not an exhaustive list and may not include all aspects of the role.

    • Managing client data on X-Plan
    • Maintaining client attitude to risk records
    • Being involved in preparing and maintaining client files including meeting packs and compliance documents, in readiness for client meetings.
    • Running client risk profiles through Dynamic Planner. Liaising with the Paraplanner/Adviser to agree the client’s attitude to risk.
    • Liaising with providers to obtain Plan information (as overseen by the Paraplanners).
    • Assisting the Paraplanners in the preparation of recommendations and reviews.

    Person Specification
The Paraplanner Support will have the capability of learning and understanding the financial advice process and the ability to work within defined business processes.
    Additionally, the Paraplanner Support will:

    • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Be organised and be able to prioritise, manage workload effectively and multi-task.
    • Have an acutely accurate attention to detail.
    • Be articulate and have a good command of written and verbal English.
    • Be able to learn and comfortably use software platforms.
    • Be able to work well as part of a team and autonomously.

The role does not require the individual to study, undertake examinations or be working towards completing the Diploma in Financial Planning, however, if the applicant is looking to progress a career in Financial Services and/or within the company, this would be the path to follow.
