I’m pleased to be partnering with my client who are a fortune 500 company with over 60 offices in 20+ countries as well as possessing a well respected reputation in the Lloyd’s & London Insurance market. Due to continued success and growth, they’re actively looking to add a Senior Energy Claims Adjuster to their already highly regarded Energy team.

Ideal candidates must have proven experience in all sub-lines of Energy and have a genuine desire to develop their skillset and knowledge in renewable claims. London Market experience is also a must with good knowledge on Claims systems (ECF/IMR). Successful candidates will ideally have experience working across worldwide jurisdictions and an established network with brokers.

A brief overview and sample of some of your responsibilities are shown below for your consideration:

  • Be responsible for managing your (and, if applicable, your team members’) claims in accordance with the companies claims and reserving philosophy and all regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Escalate claims where appropriate for input on strategy and/or reserving
  • Work closely with the underwriting team, providing feedback on claims experiences, contract wordings and claims data for renewal or new business
  • Interact with placing and claims brokers to develop positive relationships and knowledge about the quality of our claims management
  • Work collaboratively with our Actuarial and Outwards Reinsurance teams, ensuring that they are all informed of new notifications and significant developments
  • Work with the underwriters to develop business by participating in client meetings, presenting on topics of interest, and attending conferences
  • Contribute to the critical metrics set in the annual Claims Business Plan and identify areas of improvement in the team and assist with implementation
  • Show a willingness to lead claims on all classes of business handled by the team, including attending underwriting meetings, learning about the class and developing relationships with key partners in the claims handling process
  • Assist the Claims Manager with specific ad hoc projects and provide innovative ways of doing things
  • Be willing to assist beyond the day to day claims handling to further develop the team and book of business as a whole
