Currently growing at a very impressive rate, their continual growth year on year has led to another exciting opening in their Claims department. My client is actively looking to hire a Terrorism & Property Claims Adjuster.
Ideal candidates would have experience working on Terrorism claims either as a sole focus or part of a wider Political Risk & Trade Credit portfolio. You will not need to be a Terrorism claims expert/specialist, someone with perhaps a 20% or 30% exposure to Terrorism claims with an interest or passion to develop into a specialist would be ideal. Good London Market computer skills is essential on systems such as ECF, IMR or CLASS.
A brief overview and sample of some of your responsibilities are shown below for your consideration:
Manage portfolio of complex Terrorism and Property claims, including, in a lead capacity
Attend market claims meetings
Working in conjunction with Underwriters
Handle TPAs and vendor auditing as required
Liaise with brokers, stakeholders and insureds as required
Adjust, assess, and manage assigned claims within own defined authority
Ensuring coverage is accurately reviewed and that reserving is correctly set and maintained
Ensure proactive claims handling
Setting of file strategies and negotiating settlement in accordance with policy terms
Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and all statutory requirements always relating to claims handling
Ensure large and complex losses are managed/escalated correctly
Prompt reporting on large losses both internally and to reinsurers
Mentoring and coaching of more junior team members, including referral support
