London | £££ flexibility depending on experience

An established independent international insurance broker is looking to expand its Energy division, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Upstream Energy Broker (or a keen junior Broker) to join its growing London team.

With an expanding international portfolio, new client wins and increasing business flowing into London from overseas offices, this is an opportunity to join a business with clear growth ambitions and the scope to make a genuine impact.

The Opportunity

The business has a strong focus on international Upstream and Midstream Energy, working across a broad range of territories including North America, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

The successful individual will play an important role in supporting the division’s continued growth, with the opportunity shaped around their experience, strengths and longer-term ambitions.

For a technically focused broker, the priority will be delivering complex placements and strengthening London Market relationships. For an established Producer, there is scope to develop new business, build a portfolio and contribute directly to the division’s expansion.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead and manage the placement of international Upstream Energy risks, with Midstream experience also welcomed

-Build and maintain strong relationships with London Market insurers and international broking partners

-Work collaboratively with overseas offices to support incoming business and develop placement opportunities

-Negotiate competitive terms and deliver effective placement solutions for clients

-Contribute to the development of the Energy portfolio across existing and emerging territories

*For experienced producers – originate new business, develop client relationships and generate sustainable revenue

About You

We’re keen to speak with individuals who have:

-Experience within Upstream Energy broking, with Midstream experience also considered

-Strong technical placing skills and established London Market relationships

-The ability to manage complex international placements and work effectively across multiple territories

-A proactive, commercially minded approach and an interest in contributing to a growing business

-The business is also open to backgrounds including Energy underwriters with previous broking experience or relevant professionals from adjacent sectors who can demonstrate strong technical knowledge and commercial ability
